What will you do?
This position is typically held by an individual who has 2 + years’ experience in the industry and has intermediate knowledge of building security, or other building or electronic control systems or Schneider Electric's software applications. This position is responsible for providing high quality security design and programming per specifications, standards, budgets and schedules, as well as participating on a team to design, install and service building security management systems. This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project Manager.
- Become the lead design engineer on medium to large projects and complete tasks through the full cycle design phase so submittals are ready for construction.
- Become the lead programmer on medium to large projects and complete tasks through the full cycle of software development phase so systems are ready for pre-functional tests and commissioning/startup.
- Gain industry exposure by attending customer & coordination related meetings independently. Report back to the PM with action items and any additional deliverables that result from the meeting. See that these items are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently with 3rd parties such as IT engineers and commissioning agents to configure, test, and validate systems.
- Ability to interpret anomalies or deficiencies in contract drawings and submittals and resolve them in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Working knowledge of IP configurations required to stand up communication networks, ability to configure controllers, cameras, routers, switches, firewalls for secure connectivity during construction.
- Cybersecurity: Competency of cybersecurity paradigms (security passwords, configuration) and hardware/software (SSL,VPN, firewalls).
- Customer training for Schneider Electric software and hardware (operator usage, response, configuration).
- Conduct Job specific customer training upon completion of the job.

What qualifications will make you successful?
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Must have 2 + years of relevant experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems software and hardware for multi-user server computers and/or personal computing devices.
- Working knowledge of Buidling Management Sytems
- Must be proficient in SQL.
