The EMS Global Category Manager will be tasked with developing and implementing commodity strategies for designated commodities, providing support to all manufacturing sites globally for the products within scope.
25% Travel expectations for this position.

What will you do?
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for External Manufacturing Services and Electronic components.
- Responsible for executing the commodity strategy to support the business, managing key suppliers, and facilitating interactions between manufacturing clusters, cross-functional stakeholders, and purchasing.
- Maintain and developing a panel of Best in Class suppliers globally, meeting current business requirements, future growth needs, technological evolutions, supply chain optimization, and achieving annual cost savings targets
- Continuously enhance purchasing expertise and knowledge of local and global market trends
- Own the commercial relationship for key suppliers and serve as the point of contact for problem escalation, issue resolution, and sustainable development among the supply base
- Work with strategic suppliers on cost savings and performance improvement
- Collaborate with strategic suppliers to implement improvement, digitalization, and supply chain initiatives
- Track KPIs, deliver reports as assigned, and execute comprehensive RFQ processes
- Identify and develop strategic supply sources
- Lead sourcing, standardization, spend control, and innovation with suppliers
- Work with a cross-functional team as the primary contact for the supplier and the strategy for the FG assembly.

What qualifications will make you successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or Mechanical/Industrial Engineering is required.
- Deep understanding of electronic components and External Manufacturing Services (EMS).
- +5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain.
- Proficient in negotiating key supplier agreements, including costs, terms of supply, and quality.
- Prior experience in negotiation with strategic suppliers, up to C-Suite level.
- Proficient in purchasing and risk analysis, supplier relationship. management, cost analysis, market analysis, and supplier SWOT analysis.
- Experience in working on supplier agreements, together with Legal.
- Business knowledge and trade-off (Service Vs. cost, Total Cost of Ownership).
- Supplier identification and evaluation, with an understanding of Supply Chain Quality.
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate, organize, and work with supplier C-Suite Management and their account team.
