JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Regional Office (SERO), Operations, Management, and Information Division (OMI), Management & Budget Branch, with one vacancy in Saint Petersburg, FL. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Participate in the preparation and analysis of annual budget estimates for the organization, to include appropriated and cost share funds balanced against overhead and projected costs. Analyze, review and revise budget estimates, justification statements and execution plans for office programs. Utilize automated systems to input, review and analyze cost data for budget planning and execution. Plan, develop and execute financial practices and procedures to enhance the validity, accuracy, timeliness and integrity of financial processes.
