JOB SUMMARY: The primary duty and purpose of this position is to protect the Gateway Arch and subsequently all persons therein from incidents such as fire, theft, explosion, sabotage, trespass, accidental or willful damage and destruction, attempts to carry illegal contraband through security checkpoints, and terrorist activity. MAJOR DUTIES: MAJOR DUTIES: Provides security services to the Gateway Arch Complex by monitoring and screening visitors as they enter the complex with the use of walk-through magna-scanners and scanning visitors' personal belongings with radiographic (x-ray) equipment. Requires a normal degree of tact and courtesy with the public contacts while ensuring compliance with pertinent rules and regulations governing facility access and physical security.
