The salary range listed is based on the associated General Schedule Locality pay tables as determined by the Locality Pay Area Definitions. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Supervisory Biologist within the Cooperative Research Unit (CRU), some of your specific duties will include: Serves as a member of CRU' s senior management team. Responsible for supervising and representing assigned Units and their cooperators and personnel to the CRU National Headquarters office, and for representing both CRU and the USGS in the operation of the Unit Program and other USGS activities. Assists on issues related to national policy formation and interpretation, science coordination, budget formulation, and program implementation. Oversees science programs of individual Units. Acts as an intermediary between the National Headquarters office and individual Units and their cooperators, keeping Headquarters advised of issues and opportunities of significance to cooperating State, Federal, and university partners. Is the official USGS representative for assigned units and independently acts on matters related to policy, budgets, science, personnel, and the cooperative agreements establishing each Unit.
