JOB SUMMARY: This position is located with the USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area, Conservation & Production Research Laboratory (CPRL), Soil and Water Management Research Unit in Bushland, TX. In this position, you will serve as a Research Agricultural Engineer, Research Soil Scientist, or Research Plant Physiologist and will conduct research to improve knowledge and technologies to decrease the impact of aquifer depletion on sustainable irrigated and dryland crop production. MAJOR DUTIES: Conduct individual and team research to improve crop water productivity and nutrient use efficiency for fiber, forage, and grain crops of regional importance using innovative irrigation and fertigation application technologies.
