JOB SUMMARY: This position is located within the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area (PA), at the US Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, NE. In this position, you will help to develop scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries and provide research solutions for USDA's regulatory and action agencies. MAJOR DUTIES: Provide scientific leadership and expertise toward the elimination of risk of Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella, and other foodborne pathogens thereby reducing the risk of foodborne illness from the consumption of red meat.
