Basic Job Functions:
The HR Training Specialist will plan, organize, facilitate, and deliver comprehensive HR training programs to First Solar associates across all departments with emphasis on the expanding Manufacturing organization. This position through the delivery of their training content will help drive company values, increase employee engagement, and accelerate performance to deliver business results. The HR Training Specialist utilizes adult learning techniques to facilitate and educate and is expected to deliver training programs that result in participant engagement.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Communications, Education, Business, or related field required.
- Minimum 2 years of training experience required.
- Human Resource experience preferred.
- Manufacturing and global organization experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel-advanced, and PowerPoint).
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with key stakeholders. Must be able to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent presentation and training facilitation skills are required, as well as the ability to convert information and processes into a simple, virtual format that First Solar can leverage globally.
- Detail-oriented, innovative, analytic, creative, energetic, and self-starter individual.
- Able to deliver programs that are relevant and effective globally.
- Accountable, highly collaborative and brings integrative and solution-oriented thinking.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, and effectively conducts associate training on various skill, policy, leadership, onboarding and compliance areas. This may be in the form of classroom training, online training sessions, train-the-trainer workshops, or self-guided virtual training.
- Collaborates with Human Resource subject matter experts and business stakeholders to identify areas in which training is required and/or beneficial.
- Collaborates with Human Resources subject matter experts to evaluate and improve existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements appropriate changes.
- Designs, drafts, and/or acquires new training materials.
- Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks.
- Use appropriate instructional design methods including adult learning principles, instructional techniques, and evaluations to promote effective learning.
- Utilizes reporting to identify training gaps and create (and implement) strategies to drive improvements.
- Tracks and monitors all associate training progress in the applicable system.

- 10-25% travel is required.
Estimated Salary Range:
- $61,000-$87,000 / annually
