Basic Job Functions:
The Talent Management Specialist will support the design and implementation of talent management programs that drive company values, increase employee engagement, and accelerate performance to deliver business results. Talent programs include performance management, talent action planning, succession planning, career development, training and other strategic projects. The talent management specialist will execute and measure effectiveness of talent programs; partner and collaborate with talent team, HR business partners and business leaders to develop, communicate and implement programs and processes; and operate as the functional contact of talent management technology.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources
- Experience in Organizational Development initiatives is strongly preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel-advanced, and PowerPoint)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in related area such as HR, Education, Business is preferred.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Ability to gather information, analyze, articulate, and visualize to facilitate problem solving
- Attention to detail; demonstrate consistent follow-through on tasks
- 2-3 years demonstrated experience supporting the design and execution of talent management processes and programs strongly preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills with key stakeholders, including senior business leaders
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and managing activities to meet multiple competing deadlines.
- Ability to deliver training through a variety of mediums to associates at all levels in the organization
- Ability to effectively think globally as well as regularly employ integrative and solution-oriented thinking
- Excellent analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel
- Highly detail-oriented, analytic, energetic and self-motivated individual
- Passion for a talent mindset and driving performance
- Comfortable working in an environment in which businesses processes, tools, deadlines etc. are continually evolving
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support and administer the company’s performance and talent management systems and processes; conduct status monitoring and manage reminders/escalation
- Support administration of engagement and pulse check surveys; support design, implementation, and action planning
- Develop and curate content; maintain relevant intranet sites and training deliverables; keep content fresh and accurate
- Facilitate the planning and delivery of training programs and strategies jointly with HR and other internal stakeholders. This includes facilitation of classroom and virtual sessions
- Execute communication plans; draft messages; contribute to HR News, HR Partner updates, manager/associate emails
- Recommend strategies to retain and engage key talent
- Actively research industry trends and benchmark successful programs
- Perform basic financial and operational administrative duties, such as purchase requests, invoice management, and department charge backs
- Serves as a key point of contact to the business for talent management programs and technology, addressing questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute to process and system enhancements; drive for self-service, automation, efficiencies, and insightful reporting; develop test plans and execute testing
- Committed to creating & searching for new and innovative approaches to activities that enhance performance
