JOB SUMMARY: This position is a temporary position not-to-exceed 1039 regular hours in a service year may be terminated sooner or extended depending on management needs. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Gettysburg National Military Park is April to October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Open to the first 75 applicants or until 05/19/2025 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Conducts archaeological fieldwork, to include surveys, excavations, and site condition assessments. Conducts archaeological lab work, to include washing, sorting, identifying and labeling artifacts. Records survey and site data using GIS, drawings and fieldnotes.
