In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Knowledge of and/or experience with the State and/or Private accounting process, including 1-2 years of experience auditing and processing invoices.
• Knowledge of and/or experience with accounts payable process that includes auditing, researching, analyzing situations, solve complex accounting problems, expenditure correction, reconciliation, accounting information systems, or preparation of accounting batches or reports.
• Experience with financial accounting systems such as Advantage 3.7 or 4X, QuickBooks, or similar software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a team environment.
• Education as it relates to accounting or other related fields (such as business, economics, or finance).
• Experience in accounting/ financial record keeping, and knowledge of accounting principles and procedures associated with California's accounting structure (e.g., accounts payables).
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Pivot Table, and/or Adobe.
• Knowledge and/or understanding of Accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
