JOB SUMMARY: Located in the Columbus State Office; the State Construction Engineer provides assistance to the State Conservation Engineer. Statewide responsibilities include leading on construction specifications, safety, Contracting Officer's Representative, COR Certification, support to field offices on construction questions, Emergency Watershed Protection, EWP buyout program, and engineering payment scenario support. MAJOR DUTIES: Assists the area/zone and is responsible for providing technical guidance and planning, design, installation, and maintenance of the engineering phases of soil and water conservation practices.
