Job Title: Environment & Energy Associate
Location: Buffalo, Rochester, Saratoga Springs, or Albany
Our client seeks an experienced associate attorney to join their dynamic and growing Environment & Energy practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of environmental and energy-related matters, contributing to a highly regarded team recognized for its expertise in regulatory compliance, renewable project development, and environmental litigation.
Experience Required:
3 to 6 years representing clients in environmental and/or energy matters.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in environmental and energy matters, including appearances before administrative bodies.
- Handle permitting, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and transactional work in the energy and environmental sectors.
- Conduct litigation in related fields, including managing depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and electronic discovery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with:
- Environmental regulatory compliance and remedial project management.
- Complex environmental litigation and administrative practice.
- Drafting and negotiating environmental contractual provisions.
- Renewable energy project siting, permitting, acquisition, financing, and development.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $128,000 to $158,000 (based on experience, skills, and other relevant factors).
