About the Role:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager in analyzing and developing health and safety processes while providing training in job safety.
- Support activities and gather necessary information for safety and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with agencies such as OSHA and the EPA.
- Conduct internal audits, prepare for external audits, and assist in developing and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and create an actionable plan for implementation.
About You:
We Require:
- High School Diploma or GED, though a 2 or 4-year degree with a focus on Health, Safety, or Environmental studies is preferred. A combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an environmental Health and Safety-related field.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
