Step into a role at BTW Company as an Environmental Engineer leading a variety of stormwater, freshwater and three water related infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a strategic thinker and experienced engineer to drive innovation and excellence across our portfolio.
We have a large number of environmental engineering projects underway and are looking for an experienced Civil/Environmental Engineer who can hit the ground running with us in early 2024 or earlier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse range of stormwater, freshwater and three-waters Infrastructure projects.
- Promote water sensitive design and application of Te Mana o te Wai into land development projects.
- Investigation, selection and design of stormwater management systems including stormwater quality, quantity and conveyance systems.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary project team including engineers, ecologists, planners, surveys, iwi and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or Diploma in Engineering.
- Preferably in excess of 3-5 years’ experience within civil engineering with specific experience relating to stormwater management, water sensitive design, green infrastructure, hydrology and three waters infrastructure assessment and design.
- An understanding of ‘Te Mana o te Wai’ and an appreciation of cultural considerations with regards to freshwater management.
- A general understanding of the legislation and processes associated with stormwater and freshwater management.
- Preferably experience using hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Strong communication and client management abilities.
