This highly collaborative and strategic role will shape the future of sustainability ate Ecore by driving innovative environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and aligning with investor expectations. You will lead cross-functional efforts to minimize environmental impact, mitigate risks, and enhance sustainable practices across our business.

Schedule: remote work with ~10% travel to U.S. manufacturing plants and headquarters in PA
Director of Sustainability Salary Range: $125,000 - $162,000, depending on experience
Core Contributions:
- Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting:
- Spearhead and complete annual GHG inventories and reporting.
- Transition Scope 3 emissions from spend-based to activity-based accounting.
- Integrate automated data capture with a technology partner.
- Emission Reduction:
- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce emissions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop impactful strategies.
- Reporting and Certifications:
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal and investor reporting platforms.
- Update life cycle analyses (LCAs) and environmental product declarations (EPDs) for certifications.
- Evaluate and pursue additional relevant product certifications.
- Net Zero Strategy:
- Set science-based net zero targets.
- Lead initiatives that prioritize and achieve emissions reductions.
- Partnership Development:

- Collaborate with transportation leaders on Scope 3 emissions.
- Partner with utility providers and the Procurement team to advance renewable energy initiatives.
- Work with external vendors to validate avoided emissions calculations and implement actionable recommendations.
- Governance and Reporting:
- Develop KPIs and dashboards for internal and external reporting, covering EPDs, certifications, net zero goals, and investor requirements.
- Contribute to the creation of a climate governance framework.
- Lead the development and publication of Ecore's ESG report.
Essential Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- 10+ years of experience in leading strategic initiatives, operational excellence programs and processes to meet circularity and sustainability goals
- 4+ years of experience implementing sustainability strategies in a manufacturing company
- Experience with Power BI is preferred
