Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for government clients. You will interact with clients and provide expert mechanical engineering consultation services.

In this role, you will:
- Visit building sites to support the development of decarbonization, energy efficiency, and energy use index reduction plans
- Design, evaluate, and plan mechanical systems
- Perform Load/Energy calculations with software such as Trace 700, Carrier HAP, and similar programs
- Work with a senior engineer to conduct building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
- Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Write/edit project specifications
- Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
- Code compliance research
- Coordinate work with other disciplines
- Provide construction administration services
- Engage with project teams and liaise directly with clients
- Prepare specifications for purchases of materials and equipment
- Develop calculations for mechanical systems and associated controls
- Perform QA/QC of design work
- Other duties related to project work
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiarity with building codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Experience with decarbonization and electrification
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- LEED Certification/experience

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
