JOB SUMMARY: Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately October-July, and you will be in a non-pay status for between four to six pay periods. MAJOR DUTIES: Assist higher level personnel with auditing fee collection program components/systems (e.g., cash registers, road/trail registers, honor systems, automated fee machines (AFMs), donation boxes, etc.). Process reservation arrivals and departures; create, modify, and/or cancel reservations; monitor inventory, quotas, and reservable versus first-come, first-served availability. Verify funds collected against shift reports, journal and receipt tapes, and a register of refunded and voided transactions. Perform recurring or standardized reconciliation duties involved with ensuring fee and/or donation funds collected are appropriately deposited in the proper accounts or functional areas. Research and review backcountry/wilderness permit applications and process reservations, permits, and fees in accordance with established guidelines.
