JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent serves as a Project Manager supporting the formulation of projects for the management, maintenance, repair and construction of NPS facilities. This position is located in Valley Forge National Historical Park, in the Maintenance Division. This is a term position (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment expecting to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of four years. Term positions do not convey permanent status in the Federal service. MAJOR DUTIES: Uses knowledge of government regulations to assist the Contracting office in awarding Architectural and Engineering (A/E) and construction contracts. Briefs Park, Denver Service Center, NPS Region 1 and WASO leadership on project status, delays and construction issues on large complex projects. Assists in negotiating A/E services, construction management services, and construction contracts. Participates in Value Analysis Workshops, and makes park, region, and design team (or equivalent) presentations on project needs, impacts, logistics, and temporary systems. Performs daily site visits to each project site an properly documents work, materials and manpower for each trade.
