JOB SUMMARY: This position is located with the USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area, Edward T. Schafer Agricultural Research Center, Small Grain & Food Crops Quality Research Unit in Fargo, ND. In this position, you will serve as a Research Leader and will direct a broad research program that addresses the development of pulse crops into novel foods, improvement of potato storage, and assessment of potato, wheat, and oat quality. MAJOR DUTIES: Conduct research on projects to develop novel and improved crop and food products. These may include a focus on pulse crop products for use in flours, beverages, and/or meat substitutes, thereby creating expanded markets for agricultural crops.
