Our Water + Environment Market has an opening for an ambitious, senior-level Engineer and Project Manager with a background in working on projects related to water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance, and treatment projects. Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering and design expertise for projects relating to water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance. and treatment projects.
- Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and Identifies discrepancies in results.
- Responsible for all aspects of project management including supporting pursuits and attending interviews for pursuits, client management, project scope development, project planning, organizing, change management, inter-discipline coordination, production coordination, team leadership, financial management, project quality control, and delivery.
- Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.
- Understand project goals and clearly communicate them to project teams to ensure client expectations are consistently achieved.
- Provide leadership and direction for the execution of water and wastewater-related projects including process/mechanical, treatment, chemical feed systems, and pumping systems.
- Lead project staff, prepare work schedules, and assign specific duties. Oversee the production of plans and specifications for design projects for municipal water treatment and water reclamation facilities.
- Provide market-wide senior-level technical expertise through our Technical Leadership Program for water and wastewater aspects particularly related to pump/lift stations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or other related field is required.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience working in water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance, and treatment projects in a consultant capacity is required. Large pump station or lift station experience is a plus.
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and water/sewer modeling software.
- Proficient working experience with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Deltek Vantagepoint, and Power BI software.
- Strong understanding/working knowledge of environmental regulations, local and state design codes and standards is required.
- Proven experience in developing project plans, anticipating and addressing project issues, leading meetings with clients, and directing the completion of technical reports.
- Must be exceptional in written and oral communication, with the ability to lead, develop, and deliver highly persuasive presentations that build client confidence and result in securing favorable design contracts.
