Job Summary:
The Environmental Attendant is responsible for performance of activities that ensures that Celebration Key remains compliant with all health, environmental, safety, and sustainability policies and procedures. The Environmental Attendant provides daily support to the HESS Manager by undergoing tasks such as daily inspections, reporting breaches in HESS related policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Environmental Attendant is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Conduct routine pest control measures.
- Collect samples and perform testing as required.
- Identify and resolve any HESS hazards.
- Monitor and evaluate HESS protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Understand policies procedures, internal and external regulations and ensure are always adhered to.
- Assist with incident response, planning and protocols.
- Any other duties assigned by Management.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, Science or related filed is a plus.
- At least two (2) years minimum experience in related role.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:
- Ability to walk and stand in sand and sun for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests.
- Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically fit.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to multi-task and think critically.
- Previous work experience preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
