Here at the Mick George Group we are looking for a Asbestos Supervisor to join the team.
Job Overview:
To support the business in achieving its aims and objectives through the delivery of asbestos management and removal projects
Responsibilities:- Organise asbestos removal works to ensure that it is undertaken in compliance with relevant Legislation/Regulations, MGE Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and to the required health and safety standards
- Ensure that all site labour, plant and materials are on site and utilised to ensure safe working practices
- Ensure full understanding of Method Statement and Risk Assessment prior to works commencing and ensure all controls are in place and risks communicated to all Operatives
- Ensure all first aid and welfare facilities are maintained on site
- Manage all site works in liaison with Contract Manager, site staff and Client to ensure all works proceed to programme and budget and to Clients satisfaction
- Complete all required site checks, record on appropriate forms and submit to Contract Manager/Office Manager/Plant Department as required
- Undertake monthly mask checks for all Operatives on site
- Undertake TNA analysis on Operatives on a project by project basis
- Attend 6 weekly Supervisor meetings
- Participate in wider objectives of the company
Qualifications/Experience:- Demonstrable successful experience of working in a similar role (Qualified Licenced Asbestos Supervisor)
- Committed to providing first rate customer service
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Safety
- IT Literate – Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook and the use of remote meeting tools e.g. Skype
- Effective communicator, influencer & relationship builder.
- The written communication skills to complete all site paperwork to a high standard
- Honest & reliable
- Ability to prioritise work and manage own diary – amidst challenging demands on time
- Ability to balance operational needs with best practice
- Full Driving Licence with towing ability
