Job Description:
As the Global Marketing Intern (Sustainability Community) at Datamaran, you will work with the Community Manager on a variety of projects as we develop our global sustainability community engagement strategy.
The external sustainability expert community has been an integral part to Datamaran’s success over the past 10 years, and remains a strong element within Datamaran’s go-to-market strategy. Datamaran’s legacy and existing connections have ensured we have a strong position within this space with our abundance of connections with globally recognised ESG experts.
As we develop our community strategy further, you will be supporting the day to day management of several on-going projects. A large portion of the role is supporting the ongoing development of the Datamaran Academy: we hold monthly client peer-learning workshops, produce written thought leadership on a variety of crucial sustainability topics, and hold in person events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Community Manager in running the end-to-end organisation of frequent virtual, and in-person events with global sustainability professionals
- Creating marketing assets and campaigns for our community strategy; using Canva to create infographics, editing videos, and social media posts (LinkedIn and Instagram)
- Attend virtual meetings with our clients where we explore what sustainability topics are currently relevant to them, and then produce assets/workshops accordingly
- Producing reports and event summaries for the Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams that track community engagement metrics (e.g. webinar/workshop attendance)
- Research; work alongside the Community Manager to track global ESG trends to then in turn assist in the production of thought leadership with our internal ESG experts
RequirementsYou will likely be a graduate currently studying for your Masters, so if you are enthusiastic, creative, highly organised and agile, you will fit in our global Marketing team. Excellent communication and English language skills are required as while based in Leeuwarden, you will work with local team members as well as our distributed global team in Barcelona, London and the US, so it is imperative that you hold excellent communication skills.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle data and attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
- A creative and supportive team player, who can bring fresh ideas and has a “can do” attitude
- Effective planning and organisation - this is vital to support our virtual and in person events, and written thought leadership processes
- Passionate about sustainability, and has creative ideas on how we can uplift and empower our sustainability expert client community
