POSITION SUMMARY
Develops, implements, maintains, and oversees all environmental health and safety programs, policies, and procedures for Pfaudler entities in the US.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Plans and coordinates required OSHA and other safety training for managers and employees.
- Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries and completes incident/accident reports as required.
- Analyzes and reports key EHS data while identifying critical issues.
- Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Audits facilities for compliance with company safety program and local regulations.
- Serves as company liaison with applicable local, state, and federal agencies as necessary.
- Coordinates the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
- Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
- Maintains safety files and records.
- Maintains knowledge of EHS-related trends and legislation and ensures company compliance.
DIRECT REPORTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years experience leading Environment Health and Safety programs within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experienced as Safety Professional in heavy manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable of governmental EHS regulations and various governmental oversight agencies
- Has experience in dealing with governmental on-site audits
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid passport within 3 months of hire.
- Safety Professional Certification
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to navigate through and conduct research using the Internet.

- Experience as a Safety Professional working in heavy manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal health and safety regulations.

- Work performed is split between office and manufacturing environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate; noise level in the manufacturing environment can vary from loud to very loud.
- Position requires up to 25% travel.
