Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Technical Director in Environmental Site Assessment, Characterization and Remediation based out of our offices in Eastern Canada in Fredericton, Halifax or St.-John’s. You will be working with our contaminated sites and remediation project teams providing senior technical review and guidance on multidisciplinary projects in Eastern Canada[AS1] . This includes providing technical and management services to our national and regional clients across various markets (Oil/Gas, Natural Resources/Energy, Federal, and others).

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Being a recognized and experienced technical specialist in Phase 1, 2 and 3 Environmental Site Assessments and Environmental Remediation
- Coordinating and supervising, from a technical point of view, several professionals with various experiences and spread across different offices
- Acting as a peer reviewer in several files considered medium to high risk
- Providing technical support to your colleagues in the implementation of projects and providing technical support on characterization projects: (exploration trenches, environmental drilling, observation wells, environmental soil and groundwater sampling)
- Validating the interpretation of the data collected and be able to put ourselves in solution mode to overcome the technical problems inherent in our clients' challenges
- Developing conceptual models of site problems as well as evaluations of rehabilitation options
- Providing technical guidance on different in situ and ex situ treatment technologies (physical, biological, chemical and thermal) as well as their applicabilities.
- Have a good knowledge of hydrogeology to be able to properly assess the applicability of the different technologies and solutions proposed
- Being able to carry out major multidisciplinary projects that may include several disciplines (geotechnical, engineering and design, construction, equipment operation, etc.)
- Managing the personnel assigned to the project for which you are responsible, as well as subcontractors
- Writing professional service offers, including budget evaluation
- Managing all project stages while respecting budgets and deadlines while ensuring the quality of service delivery
- Writing technical reports or documents and ensure their quality on time and on budget
- Managing the relationship with customers
- Being in close contact with the management team and our major clients
- Providing technical training for professionals
What we are looking for in you:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geological engineering or civil engineering or other environmental specialties closely related to the realization of characterization and rehabilitation projects, a master’s degree would be considered an asset
- More than 15 years of combined experience in the field of soil, air and groundwater treatment
- Extensive experience in environmental characterization of commercial and industrial sites
- Have a thorough understanding of different treatment technologies (physical, biological, chemical and thermal) and their applications
- Knowledge of provincial environmental regulations, knowledge of federal environmental regulations would be considered an asset
- Strong leadership and team spirit that allows each of its members to develop

- Strong ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and a great ability to work with several professionals of different levels of experience
- Superior synthesis and analytical skills
- A global vision of our clients' needs
- You are an organized, methodical, responsible and resourceful person
- Attention to detail. Ability to analyze and synthesize
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
