DescriptionThe Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator will be responsible for safety training, emergency preparedness, while promoting workplace safety, as well as employee health awareness and their compliance with safety regulations and procedures. They will assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs, procedures and practices necessary to provide for safe and healthy working conditions for employees and operate the facility in an environmentally responsible manner.
Starting pay of $16/hr DOE. We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and weekly pay to all of our full-time Team Members.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of employment with AFW.
- Experience managing safety programs preferred.
- Knowledge of AFW safety policies and procedures including but not limited to LockOut/TagOut, Hazcom, PPE, and Fall Protection.
- Willingness to obtain the OSHA 132 certification.
- Will travel to stores.
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies including but not limited to iPads, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
- Flexible schedule to meet training requirements.
Job Expectations:
- Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and ability to promote safety awareness.
- Conduct new hire orientation and tours.
- Monitor and update the chemical inventory list.
- Professional with strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the AFW management team.
- Train employees and managers on all AFW safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct incident investigations, hazard assessments and job safety analysis.
- Perform Safety Audits & inspections.
- Provides continual training to team members with an emphasis on safety and service.
- Ensure the correct paperwork/forms are filled out correctly.
- Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.
- Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner.
- All training provided by AFW.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily.
- Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
- Conducting training or an investigation that requires lifting, griping, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving equipment or merchandise.
