About the Role
We are currently seeking a talented and team-oriented Sustainability Intern. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the transition to a more sustainable Turtle both internally and externally from Jan 13th to May 16th. Expect to wear many hats in this highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, as you will be involved in all aspects of the growing sustainability team. This is a paid internship.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate and organize data for sustainability reports, i.e. EcoVadis and CDP.
- Support marketing and sales teams creating sustainability material and reports.
- Conduct research in areas such as regional environmental policies, federal and state decarbonization grants, climate-preferable technologies, competitor activities, the evolution of corporate sustainability KPIs.
- Support company-wide employee engagement with surveys, lunch & learns, and training.
- Assist in facilities optimization and decarbonization.
- Support the drafting of Turtle’s electrification and decarbonization roadmap.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program in environmental science, sustainability, economics, or related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- Familiarity with lifecycle assessment methodologies and greenhouse gas accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Optional Familiarity with Salesforce, QuickBase, Infor
- Ability to self-start and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to a company focused on promoting sustainability.
