NWFF is seeking an Environmental Science Consultant (Consultant) with three to five years of experience in the environmental, soil, geophysical, hydrological, ecology, or biological sciences field.
As a consultant, you will integrate into a wide variety of projects including site remediation, monitoring well installation and decommissioning, storage tank inspections/closures, environmental site assessments, environmental compliance audit preparation, hazardous building material surveys, storm water programs, project oversight, client liaison, and development of work plans, reports, data interpretation, and regulator interface.
Background check, employment eligibility verification, and pre-employment drug screen is required.

- Subcontractor Management
- Project Planning
- Environmental Field Work
- Regulatory Interface
- Sample Analysis Review and Summaries
- Report Writing
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor of Science Degree (Required) or higher.
*Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Planning or similar may be acceptable with transcript review.
- Working toward professional certifications or credentials to include: RG (Registered Geologist), CPG (Certified Professional Geologist), LH (Licenses Hydrologist), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or UST (Underground Storage Tank) Closure Worker in Alaska.
- A strong desire to work, learn, and integrate into a professional team. Applicants must be self-starters and able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
- Submission of writing samples upon successful review of resume.
Compensation: TBD DOE, starting at $65k+. Review after 90-day probationary period. After your probationary period, NWFF offers paid holiday, accrued vacation time, and an employer-sponsored benefit package
