Under general supervision, the part-time Youth Development Supervisor will assist with the oversight of the Volunteer Department and serves as a departmental supervisor in absence of the full time Volunteer Department Staff.
Essential Job Functions *Duties will include, but are not limited to the following*
- Leading off-site conservation and community service projects for ZOOTeen volunteers.
- Providing on-site supervision of ZOOTeen volunteers.
- Scheduling volunteers, making/returning phone calls and emails
- Processing applications.
- Supporting departmental trainings, and deliver ZOOTeen trainings.
- Delivering exhibit demonstrations for special events and summer programming.
Minimum Training & Qualifications
- Preferred High School diploma and 1-year enrollment in the Toledo ZOOTeen program, or 1-year experience working with a youth service organization required.
- Experience working with age groups from 11 – 17 years old.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
- Must be 21 years and older.
- Required to pass a background check.
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
