Description:
Responsible for the overall material control andproduction datacontrol.Thesuccessfulcandidateneeds to manage production materials to help drive continuous improvement in our material inventory accuracy, consumption rates, scrap rates and repair rates. It will co-ordinate and verify raw material deliveries to Production throughout the shift and ensure sufficient material to keep the lines running effectively.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for working with production department regarding material control, consumption, repair, andscrap
Take leadership withmaterialteamstosupport production andminimize losses caused by line shutdown
Assist in organizing and leading, when required, in periodic inventory count and cycle count activitiesfor materials and finishedgoods
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
Provide leadership by instilling team goals and objectives and foster positive staffrelationships
Coordinate with operational departments to achieve companygoals
Communicate results and issues to shiftstaff
Ensure compliance with company policies andprocedures
Complete other duties and projects asassigned
Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them toemployees
Submit reports on performance andprogress
Identify issues in efficiency and suggestimprovements
Enforce strict safety guidelines and companystandards
Set goalsfor performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them tosubordinates
Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegatedtasks
Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback andcoaching
Qualifications & Experience
A bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience with production/material control in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to complete the aboveresponsibilities
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, confidentially, diplomatically, and professionallyalways
Excellent time and project management skills
Attention to detail in all areas ofwork
Analytical and time management skills
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office, experience with enterprise ERP /SAP system or othersoftware
Intermediate skills in Excel
High School Diploma, Degree in anaccounting,orindustrialrelevant field will be anadvantage
Mandarinspeaking considered an asset but not
