Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Technical Director to join our Energy Group to lead and drive winning, technical management, and delivery of renewable projects – in particular BESS (Battery Energy Storage System).
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Provide high-quality technical input into full life cycle of BESS projects – from project development phases (i.e., technology selection, BESS sizing/stack sizing, defining BESS use cases, market participation, techno-economic assessment, layout design, site suitability, and feasibility studies) to BESS design, procurement, installation, commissioning and operation phases.
- contribute and lead power generation opportunities including associated asset design projects, i.e. large-scale wind and solar and BESS and associated substation and transmission line design
- Assist with the overall development and growth of the Future Energy group including Business Development for the Philippines and collaborate with GHD’s National Sector Lead for BESS for opportunities in other regions and knowledge sharing.
- Act as Technical Director/Lead for BESS projects across the Philippines Region. Provide technical leadership and support the business group in developing a strong technical BESS team with the aim of establishing an in-depth technical knowledge and expertise hub in the Philippines
- Work collaboratively with the other business groups across Philippine Region as well as with other sectors to ensure GHD is best positioned for successfully securing major multi-disciplinary opportunities in the BESS space
What you will bring to the team:
- 5-10+ years of industry experience in BESS projects, where performance has met/exceeded expectation (exposure in a consulting environment – as an advantage)
- In-depth and comprehensive knowledge of associated asset design projects, i.e., large-scale wind, solar, and associated substation and transmission line design
This job offer can be based either in Makati or Quezon City, depending on your home base/location.
Candidates must be a Filipino citizen or have the right to work in the Philippines.
