Make your mark as Senior Legal Counsel Offshore Wind at Boskalis Offshore Energy! You can play an important part in the development and management of large, complex and multidisciplinary Offshore projects worldwide. Think of offshore windfarm installation projects as well associated scopes such as engineering, heavy lift transportation, procurement, marine services and subsea cable installation.
You will contribute to the success of every project alongside your colleagues, both within the legal team and from other disciplines such as commercial, cost estimating, engineering, finance, treasury, insurance and planning departments. Your role requires affinity with all of these other disciplines in order to be able to understand the interfaces and their impact on the terms and conditions.
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice on complex legal and contractual issues and ensure that everything is in order contractually. Additionally, you will provide support in any dispute resolution proceedings that may arise. Within the Business Unit Offshore Heavy Lifting, you are the go-to person for legal inquiries for tender and project management teams. Your responsibilities as Senior Legal Counsel Offshore Wind:
- Advising on legal issues during tender process, including assessing tender documentation such as the proposed terms and conditions.
- Drafting and reviewing agreements related to cooperation, contracting, procurement, and chartering of vessels.
- Be involved in arbitration cases and legal proceedings.
- Lead contract negotiations and projects in the execution phase.
- Monitoring and following up on relevant developments in legislation and case law.
You can make your mark as Senior Legal Counsel Offshore Wind if you have:
- A Master degree in Law;
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a role as legal counsel, lawyer, legal advisor, or insurance, preferably within an international company;
- Knowledge of contract law and construction law;
- Strong communication skills and business oriented approach and you are a team player;
- Fluent language skills in English, Dutch language skills are a “nice to have”;
- Flexibility about travelling.
