JOB SUMMARY: This position is in Region 7, Water Division, Standards and Water Quality Branch . About Region 7 This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Serve as a technical and regulatory expert on CWA submissions to EPA (e.g., new or changed water quality standards, 303d impaired water lists), implementation of sections 303(c), 303(d), and 305(b) and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) of the Clean Water Act. Provide expert advice, coordinate with, and assist states in development of water quality standards. Serve as Regional contact for all water quality standards inquiries. Provide expert technical reviews of special water quality standards studies. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
