JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent serves as a General Services and Facilities Management Specialist responsible for assisting in the operational management support for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Headquarters facility in Falls Church, VA, and supporting the Director's Suite in the Stewart Lee Udall Building, Washington D.C. MAJOR DUTIES: As a General Services and Facilities Specialist your duties will include but are not limited to the following: As directed, coordinates with representatives of the General Services Administration (GSA) Public Building Service (PBS) property managers, lessor representatives, Service leadership, and occupants regarding routine building management issues, operations and maintenance of the Headquarters facility. Provides day-to-day oversight of the on-site storage for facility supplies, excess furniture and equipment, moving crates, and attic stock finishes. Assists with complaint investigation; disseminates information; and, prepares supporting documentation for annual and periodic reporting. the incumbent operates and performs the duties of the mail room, including: handles the incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and shipments; manages postage account, mail meters, and scales; receives, sorts, and distributes parcels; tracks packages using barcode technology; documents data for reporting, and serves customers. Advises customers of received deliveries, available mail and shipping services, researches packages, and provides solutions; and processes outgoing mail and checks for proper addressing, packaging, and marking (stamping) in accordance with postal and shipping guidance.
