Vestas Wind Australia has released an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner position for our Queensland region. This role is integral to our wind farms' service process to ensure they operate under appropriate and safe conditions.
You will be collaborating as a part of the broader Maintenance Planning team but also working autonomously with your site teams to provide clear and concise planning.
The Vestas Wind Service division provides maintenance and scheduled services to our products on client-owned properties. These wind farms are required to meet agreed KPIs regarding output, downtime, running cost and safety/environmental responsibilities.
As a Maintenance Planner, your task is to keep on setting the order of the activities that will happen in service, following the processes, instructions, business rules and your best knowledge. You support streamlining the workload and factors impacting the planning, to ensure the flow will be stable and technicians will have work to do. You will support other regions as required in ANZ, and frequent visits to site are expected as part of the roles.
Responsibilities
- Balance all assigned territory orders to ensure minimum downtime and maximum productivity
- Service crew composition is up to date and adjusted to demand
- Tools, parts & services are planned and monitored on time before crew mobilization
- Crew schedules are managed on a day-to-day basis
- Service schedule is aligned with the obligations in service contracts
- On time communication to crews an partners is guaranteed
- Ensuring KPI and PPI related to Planning & Scheduling are balanced and under control

- Prepare and keep updated rolling forecasting workload up to 18 Months ahead
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Engineering or any equivalent degree
- Technical understanding and planning will be essential for success in this position
- Proficient in MS Office,
- SAP and Salesforce exposure is advantageous
Competencies
- A strong commitment to Safety, Environment and Quality at all times
- Good experience in a technical service environment with focus on Planning & Scheduling
- Good IT skills and experience with information processing in databases and planning tools
- Analytical and detailed working approach
- Technical and planning framework understanding
- High degree of flexibility (working in changing environment)
- Stakeholder management skills
- Strong system user of MS Office
- SAP and Salesforce would be looked upon favorably
