JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), in a State, Area, or Field office of an assigned state. The incumbent serves as an Area Program Specialist and will develop and interpret Farm Bill program rules, regulations, policy and procedures and develop and interpret natural resource planning criteria, develop databases to process and track Farm Bill producer contract payments and NRCS agreements, as well as provide training to NRCS staff area-wide. MAJOR DUTIES: Identify and evaluate problems impacting a wide range of complex natural resources and diverse and sometimes competing land user and land use objectives.
