JOB SUMMARY: The Opelousas, LA position is assigned to an NRCS area office in Louisiana and is supervised by the ASTC-FO. The Denham Springs, LA position is assigned to the Water Resources Staff and is supervised by the ASTC-WR. The primary purpose of these positions is to provide leadership and technical guidance in the Biology program for conservation planning and application, technology development and transfer, training, and quality assurance to all offices within the assigned area of responsibility. MAJOR DUTIES: Provides leadership in developing and updating standards and guides on upland and wetland wildlife conservation practice specifications and recommends approval of these standards.
