Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a sales business unit covering OFFSHORE, NORTH-WEST (Scandinavia, UK, Ireland) CENTRAL (Germany and Benelux), and EAST(Poland and Baltics countries, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Georgia and Kazakhstan). Our responsibilities include Sales, Project, Installation, and Service of wind farms in these regions.
As a Travel Service Technician-Onshore EAST, you'll have the opportunity to work in various locations across the NCE region, maintaining and servicing wind turbines. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and updating these complex machines, requiring a good technical background and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Conducting working safely and with attention to detail; promotes and always demonstrates safe behavior and practices
- Performing all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
- Secures and monitors the clean and tidy condition of the turbine after job completion
- Filling out work orders and checklists, confirming completed orders including proposals for the optimization of processes
- Checks tools and spare parts for accuracy, operational capability, and completeness prior to starting work
- Responsible for the equipment of the vehicles with tools, personal protective equipment, and spare parts
- Ensuring on-time return of unused and defective materials and tools with correct declaration and correct packaging
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree-Technical diploma (preferably mechanical or electrical)
- Electrical or relevant experience accompanied by an enthusiasm to develop your skills further within these fields
- Good computer skills; experienced in handling different tools or systems to monitor work and documentation
- Good English skills, both written and spoken
- Driving license in class CE/ BE
- You have the physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, and work while carrying materials and tools around in the turbine
- Experience with the use and understanding of intermediate-level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools (ex Fluke multimeter functions), knowledge with experience of turbine installation and commissioning will be a good in advantage

- A significant understanding of and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety in the work environment
- Ability to climb a wind turbine and perform tough physical work in heights as well as in various weather conditions
- Enjoy working in teams and communicating with numerous stakeholders; you will work closely with others in the field but also connect with the wider business
- Solutions-oriented, independent, and well-organized in your work
- Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write in English as well as the ability to successfully participate in all training courses, including controlled decent
- You can read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics and pay attention to detail to follow safety protocols
