- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental/Chemical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience developing AQ permitting (PBR, NSR, Title V), performing AQ analysis and modeling (LDAR, NAAQS, SCREEN3), implementing AQ control techniques (BACT, MACT), and ensuring compliance with state and federal AQ standards (EPA AP-42, NESHAP, NSPS, TCEQ MERA).
- Telecommuters considered.
- Local travel (<10%) for site visits and client meetings with very minimal national travel, if needed.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Consult with clients across various industries on a range of topics, including evaluation of air pollution sources, emissions estimation, air dispersion modeling, human health risk assessment, climate action planning, sustainability initiatives, permitting, and compliance.
Duties:
- Estimate emissions and conduct engineering evaluations of air pollution sources.
- Conduct computer modeling of air pollution dispersion.
- Perform statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data.
- Analyze pollution control measures.
- Conduct air monitoring and indoor air quality analysis.
- Prepare air quality permit applications and environmental impact reports for environmental agency submittals.
- Critically review and interpret local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Maintain client relationships and manage the development of project deliverables to meet client needs.
- Serve as the technical lead overseeing junior staff on complex projects.
