Your new role
As our new Project Engineer, we invite you to bring your Environmental Engineering experience into play as you support existing environmental investigation and remediation projects in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Metropolitan New York areas.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Execute engineering tasks in support of key projects/programs, including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Remedial Designs, Remedial Actions, and post-remediation OM&M
- Provide engineering support for the remediation of contaminated soils, sediments, surface water and groundwater involving remedies such as excavation, capping, containment, in-situ and ex-situ treatment and subsurface vapor mitigation
- Coordinate the development and finalization of technical documents (e.g., regulatory reports, work plans, remedial design plans and specifications, construction completion reports, permit applications, etc.) pursuant to regulatory requirements (i.e., NJ ARRCS)
- Provide project support with the development of scopes of work, planning, and implementation of routine tasks including, but not limited to, soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling efforts
- Assist in the development of project execution strategies and interact with existing and prospective clients.
About you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Geoenvironmental or Chemical Engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience
- Possession, eligibility or interest in obtaining PE license and/or LSRP
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and up to date 8-hour refresher
- Strong working knowledge of NJDEP regulations including ISRA, TRSR and ARRCS, and technical guidance. Familiarity with other local, State (e.g., PADEP, NYSDEC) and federal (USEPA) agencies/regulations a plus
- Experience with both conventional and innovative remediation technologies and developing and implementing Pre-Design Investigations and Remedial Design documents (regulatory and technical/contractual).
