Nammo US Shared Services center operations provides functional expertise and support in Accounting and Finance, HESS, Human Resources, Information Technology and Marketing across the Nammo US family of companies.
The HES Engineer will be responsible for implementing and administering policies and duties as assigned including:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Member of the staff responsible for company regulatory compliance in accordance with OSHA (PSM), BATFE, DHS, DOT, RCRA, and DoD 4145.26-M, DoD 5100.76-M, regulations (and other federal, state, county, and city regulations and codes).
- Will assess site and working conditions to prevent injuries and sustain compliance. This includes conducting Process Hazard Assessments and Job Hazards Assessments tools.
- Prepare written reports and procedures and work closely with other health, environmental and safety staff and consultants.
- Requires knowledge, application and interpretation of various regulations as they pertain to industrial and explosives safety.
- Lead the HESS observation report program.
- Conduct Industrial Hygiene Sampling
- Oversee Lock Out Tag Out and energy control programs.
- Assist in the sustaining of general industry Safety and Health programs.
- Experience on OSHA’s workers’ compensation program.
- Support the employee health, environmental, and safety training program.
- Experience in managing environmental and explosive compliance will be a plus.
- Other HES duties as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or bachelor's degree, ideally in health, safety, or environmental-related fields of study. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience in a EH&S role in chemical, manufacturing, ammunition or explosives industries.
- Proficient working knowledge of all MS Office.
- 24-hour DOT Hazmat and 24-hour RCRA HAZWOPER certifications (may be completed after hire).
- Knowledge of NFPA and NEC requirements.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive written reports.
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills with experience as an instructor preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial work processes, materials handling techniques, and proper management of hazardous materials.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance and ATF approval to handle our products.
- Energetics experience performed in accordance with applicable regulations including compliance to DoD 4145.26M preferred.
