Our London, Ohio facility houses lighting and mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in our Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
This role is responsible for deploying and effectively executing programs and policies to support the strategy and vision to achieve World Class EHS Performance. This role will actively participate in the areas of EHS Governance, auditing, management systems, best practice sharing, compliance initiatives and governmental/regulatory, customer, and parent company reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies (includes Hazard Communication, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Machine Guarding, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Electrical Safety, Arc Flash, Robot Safety, Cranes, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Prepare and submit all compliance reports for Federal, State and Local entities, customers, and parent company.
- Assure the EHS function is effective using Company goals, objectives, metrics and scorecards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the Environmental, Health and Safety Programs and implement best practices.
- Conduct injury, illness, and near miss investigations using root cause analysis to develop corrective action plans.
- Ensure Permit compliance (air & water).
- Administer associate personal protective equipment programs including safety eyeglasses and safety shoes.
- Lead hazardous waste management and disposal activities.
- Implement facility-wide Safety programs such as ergonomics, first aid/CPR, program.
- Lead and implement Carbon Neutrality projects, data collection activities and reporting of Sustainability efforts.
- Coordinate SDS Program for materials used, received and/or processed at the facility.
- Implement and facilitate the effectiveness of emergency action plans and procedures, including fire evacuation, severe weather, chemical spills, etc.
- Assess potential environmental risks and provide mitigation plans to reduce incidents.
- Development of pollution and waste control programs.
- Evaluate hazards for environment, health and safety risks and ensure the development of Job Hazard Analyses for defined tasks.
- Participate in Workers’ Compensation injury management in coordination with the Company’s Benefits Administrator.
- Ensuring contractor personnel working at Stanley locations are working in compliance with OSHA Regulations and Company requirements.
- Conducts EHS Meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action opportunities.
- Review and update SPCC plans as needed.
- Develop and conduct effective EHS training.
- Perform Risk Assessments with all departments to determine the potential hazards, environmental impacts, regulatory requirements, and conformance with recognized industry standards (ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH, RIA, etc.) of all new and changing processes and projects (capital projects and others).
- Conduct field inspections, including such items as stormwater, spill prevention, and other environmental compliances.
- Maintains accurate EHS record keeping and documentation control.
- Timely investigation of all environmental, health and safety incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective action plans.

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management or Environmental Management, or related field.
- Three to five years’ work experience required, with two years required in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA and other governmental regulations and laws.
- Flexibility in supporting a three shift, 24/7 operation.
- Experience with an EHS management system including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001) .
- Experience with OSHA VPP.
- OSHA General Industry 10- or 30-hour training course.
- These qualifications are preferred but not necessary for you to get started:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other EHS professional certification.
