Purpose

In this role, you will support the development of Sustainable Assurance Standards for primary producers and processors. Strengthen stakeholder engagement through the development and delivery of effective communications leveraging sustainability proof points to position the agri-food industry as best in class nationally and internationally.
What you’ll do
Act as a key contributor to the development and roll-out of sustainable assurance standards for primary producers and processors engaging with all relevant stakeholders in a proactive and structured manner
Develop farm sustainability initiatives informed by data analysis addressing current or future challenges for the agri food sector.
Oversee the implementation of digital solutions to support Origin Green team and aligned to Directorate IT infrastructure
Manage key stakeholder relationships through regular engagement and supporting positive contribution to the standard development process.
Contribute to the development of a Bord Bia farmer engagement plan ensuring it takes into account relevant Directorate activities and partake in the implementation of the plan working, in collaboration with the wider Bord Bia farmer engagement team
Input as a key expert on the continued development of staff’s sustainability capability credentials and support the delivery of capability development in collaboration with colleagues in the Insights, Sectors and Global Business Development teams
Manage Bord Bia involvement in relevant national sustainability and agri food forums to develop relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration for the benefit of Origin Green members.
Manage Bord Bia’s involvement in international sustainability forums as required adopting leadership positions that highlight the high standards of the agri food sector where possible.
Manage the performance of team members by determining and delegating priorities, through regular, formal PDP and PGP (actively manage the Agri Sustainability Team members supporting their professional development) conversations and informal feedback and coaching
Manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia procedures.

About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
Knowledge:
Minimum five years’ experience in a management/sustainability role.
High level of knowledge of Irish agriculture and food industry.
Good understanding of policy, regulatory and market landscape as it pertains to sustainability
Skills & Capabilities:
Digital first mindset, comfortable with an agile culture focused on continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills with an ability to build meaningful collaborative relationships.
Results driven with high levels of motivation and drive to achieve superior standards.
Project management skills to ensure projects are completed to agreed timescales and within budget.
