BBJ Group is a growing environmental consulting and engineering firm seeking a project level environmental consultant for BBJ Group’s Real Estate and Transaction Support Practice group. Primary responsibilities include serving clients with various environmental engineering due diligence needs and fostering new business opportunities while continuing client relationships. This role offers numerous opportunities and responsibilities for a detail-oriented environmental professional.
Sample of responsibilities:
- Providing domestic and international environmental due diligence services
- Project, budget, and schedule management, where you would be serving as the technical lead and/or client contact, scheduling personnel, and executing other duties such as allocating resources, invoice review, and managing accounts receivables
- Managing and training junior staff to effectively scope and execute projects from technical and workload perspectives
- Proposal writing and developing scopes of work and budgets
- Interacting with clients in a wide variety of industries, including well-known global companies
- Developing strategy and tactics with the Real Estate and Transaction Support Practice Leader and BBJ Group senior leadership team to grow BBJ Group’s national presence

Project-level consultants within the Real Estate and Transaction Support Practice group routinely manage projects for a variety of business operations and industries with a focus on commercial and industrial settings that include:
- Environmental, Health and Safety compliance reviews, permitting and planning
- Building material surveys and Property Condition Assessments
- Site investigations and regulatory closure
- Vapor intrusion assessments and mitigation
- Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) liability assessments
- Legacy environmental liability reviews
- National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) evaluations
- Environmental cost estimation

Skills and Experience
- Three to eight years of project-level consulting experience conducting and directing due diligence services
- S. in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or equivalent preferred
- Professional Certification (PE/PG/CHMM/CSP) a plus
- Detail-oriented and ability to work within a team setting and independently
- Strong communication and technical writing, coupled with analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Flexibility to accommodate travel (25%) and a valid-driver’s license
- OSHA HAZWOPER training
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- AutoCAD, ArcGIS experience a plus
