Carron Connected on behalf of our manufacturing client is searching for a qualified Environmental, Health and Safety Manager who will manage and be responsible for delegating tasks as well as support, guidance and training. You will have a high degree of resilience, who can build relationships across our client’s business and be able to influence at all levels positively.
The role
EHS Management: Oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
Policy Guidance: Advise on health and safety policies, driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with regulatory standards.
System Development: Lead the development of robust EHS systems, coordinating implementation and ensuring compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvement in EHS performance and internal processes.
Annual Planning: Construct and manage annual improvement plans for EHS in collaboration with management.
Auditing and Inspection: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
Workplace Inspections: Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement effective migration strategies.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed of new regulations and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Incident & Accident Investigation: Thoroughly investigate and report all incidents and accidents, implementing corrective actions.
Documentation Management: Manage EHS documentation and ensure system updates.
Disciplinary Support: Assist with disciplinary actions for safety protocol breaches.
Regulatory Reporting: Manage reporting requirements to regulatory bodies.
Emergency Procedures: Review and revise emergency response procedures as needed.
Objective Setting: Develop EHS objectives and targets to drive continuous improvement.
Management Review: Conduct annual reviews to assess EHS performance.
Training Delivery: Deliver training on key EHS topics and promote positive health and safety policies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with stakeholders to improve EHS performance.
Site-Specific Protocols: Develop tailored EHS protocols for manufacturing and office facilities.
Requirements
Third level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Ideally prior experience as a Health & Safety Manager/Supervisor in a manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of Irish EHS legislation and ability to manage all environmental, health and safety issues effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent planning, organisational, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Demonstrable experience in developing, implementing environmental, health and safety programmes.
