You will join our Environmental & Health department
As our new SR. Project Engineer you will be part of a team developing project proposals, providing technical oversight and leadership of design development tasks, including management of project and task scope, schedule, and budget.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Participate in project costing, proposal preparation, and client presentations
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, geologic data and other data to plan projects
- Prepare or present reports, analyses including design calculations, field data results, conclusions and cost estimates
- Plan, design and prepare, or direct preparation of high quality construction drawings and specifications of varied complexities in compliance with construction and government standards, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers including review of reports, design drawings, and specifications
- Technical review of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling analyses performed using software such as XP SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with project teams in meeting project objectives – technical scope, project/task budget, and deliverable schedules
- Consistently utilize sound judgment and discretion in performance of job functions.
- Gather and record information to be used for writing specifications
- Participate actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite
- Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in the Firm’s Quality Management System
- Assist Project Managers to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences, and develop schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements
- Work with the Project Manager to form a project work team and see that responsibilities are assigned and execution of tasks are begun and completed according to schedule
- Maintain a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts

- Bachelor’s Degree (Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred) and 10+ years relevant experience. MS Degree a plus
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D design tools ( e.g., surfaces, earthwork calculations, pipe design)
- Proficiency with performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling analyses, including the use of technical software
- OSHA 40-hour training and up to date 8-hour refresher; or ability to obtain
- Requires good interpersonal, verbal and written communication, motivation, team building, employee involvement/mentoring, diplomacy, and delegating skills
- Willingness and desire to continue to improve and advance technical competencies
- Working knowledge of project life-cycle delivery to include planning, design, estimating, construction
