Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the company in monitoring and managing environmental compliance for all Company domestic manufacturing and branch operations.

Develop environmental programs, audit company facilities, and complete environmental mandates in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

Develop appropriate training programs for company employees to comply with state and local environmental regulations.

Complete environmental permits for company facilities.

Work with the corporate E, H & S staff in addressing related issues.

Assist in developing and maintaining an environmental management system.

Develop site specific pollution prevention programs and programs such as ISO 14001, zero landfill and Company sustainability.

Assist in responding to branch questions and problems relating to environmental issues.

Manage the Company's recycling programs.

Conduct environmental and chemical training at company facilities.

Travel to North American branch facilities and monitor and coordinate all environmental programs including but not limited to air and wastewater regulations, storm water, air emissions and hazardous waste regulations.

Research new regulatory standards and report on their applicability to facility operations.

Assist the corporate with safety issues and industrial hygiene monitoring activities as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- 0-4 years related experience
- Bachelor Degree
Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Must have valid driving privileges
- Extensive travel (over 20%)
- Extensive overnight stays (over 20%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong regulatory background is desired along with knowledge of environmental regulations and computer skills.
- Three to five years’ experience in process operations in a commercial or manufacturing environment relating to environmental management, air emissions, wastewater treatment and hazardous waste disposal.
- Industrial Hygiene experience is desirable.
