We are looking for a senior environmental professional for the Buffalo, NY office to develop and manage environmental investigation, compliance, and remediation projects. We will consider qualified candidates within the science and engineering practices typically involved in multidisciplinary environmental projects.
This is a senior position with the expectation that the successful candidate will assume progressively increasing management responsibilities.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage several existing GEI environmental investigation, compliance and/or remediation projects.
- Identify and attract business development opportunities; identify key clients / business areas, growth strategy, and capture strategy.
- Foster client relationships, develop and manage projects.
- Enhance the professional development and skill set of staff and be a resource to them.
- Monitor and predict emerging trends and their potential impacts on client, staffing, training, and business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. degree in a related discipline. M.S. Preferred.
- Professional registration or certification in related discipline
- 18 years progressive experience in relevant environmental projects. At least 12 years in a project management role.
- Successful Seller-Doer with strong client relationships and business development capability.
- Senior Leader technically proficient across environmental disciplines.
- Ability to lead and identify multiple efforts across a large geography.
- Collegial team builder with excellent leadership skills.
- Desire to contribute to the growth of GEI businesses and take on progressive personnel management responsibilities
