What We Are Looking for:
A Deputy Project Manager, who is driven to contribute to a wide range of projects ranging from site investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial design and implementation for both common and emerging (i.e., PFAS) contaminants. EnSafe is a sell/manage/do organization, so your duties will also include supporting marketing/business development efforts and serving in a managing role over support staff.
What you will be doing:
- Provide client and project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight.
- Lead technical teams working with our Jacksonville team and across multiple offices throughout the country, problem-solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors.
- Develop Work Plans and/or Sampling and Analysis Plans and coordinate investigation activities (soil, groundwater, indoor air, soil gas, and stormwater sampling).
- Conducting and managing site investigation activities (sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, and building materials)
- Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
- Provide oversight to teams during field activities and regulatory reporting.
- Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the quality assurance/quality control of deliverables about projects and tasks self-managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others.
- Work well with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing EnSafe clients through excellent quality of work, responsiveness, and service.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil, Chemical, Geology, Biology, or related Environmental degree.
- EIT, GIT, P.E. or P.G. Certification is a plus.
- 5-10 Years of relevant experience in the field of environmental assessment/remediation.
- HAZWOPER training and certification.
- Knowledge or experience in RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, LTM) and documentation preferred.
- Experience with federal projects and/or working with DoD/Navy projects.
- Understanding of federal facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft program products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to travel to support ongoing environmental projects.
- Focus on responsiveness, quality of product, and service to maintain EnSafe client relationships.
